Dr. Daniel Aukerman began serving our community as a volunteer physician at Access Carroll in 2005.  Shortly thereafter, he became the Medical Director for primary health care services. Over the past 12 years, he has continued to champion the vision of providing the highest quality health care to those most in need in Carroll County, Maryland.  Today, Dr. Aukerman is the Medical Director for our expanded and integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health services.  In addition to earning his medical degree from the University of New Mexico, he also received a master’s degree in public health from the University of Washington.  Dr. Aukerman is board certified in Family Medicine and Addictions Medicine.  He is fluent in German, English, and Spanish. As a Carroll County resident most of his life, he is passionate about our community and serves as both a health leader and strong advocate for improved access to health care.

Bethany earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Towson University in Towson, Maryland prior to pursuing her Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Widener University in Harrisburg, PA., during which she completed over 700 hours of clinical rotations in a variety of settings including: Family Practice; Long-Term Geriatric Care; Women’s Health; & Endocrinology. She graduated as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees, is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Bethany joined Access Carroll after previous employment at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, Hanover Hospital’s Emergency Department and most recently from Family Practice Medicine.
