Founded in 2005, Access Carroll, Inc. is a private, nonprofit organization offering reduced cost integrated health care services to uninsured and low-income residents of Carroll County, Maryland. With the support of our partners and generous donors, Access Carroll strives to provide timely, efficient, affordable and high quality medical, dental, behavioral health and recovery support services. Services are provided in a welcoming and holistic manner based upon the unique strengths, needs, abilities, and desires of all individuals in an environment that ensures and respects privacy.
Access Carroll is a strategic partner with Carroll Hospital, Carroll County Health Department, and The Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County to improve the health and well-being of our community.

MISSION
To champion health and provide quality integrated health care services for low-income residents of Carroll County, Maryland.

We believe every individual should have access to health care that is coordinated, comprehensive, culturally sensitive, community based, accountable, and high quality.
We also believe all individuals should have the right to health information, the opportunity to participate in their plan of care and the right to accept responsibility for their own care to the extent to which they are able.
Access Carroll sees the future Carroll County, Maryland as a community that provides an unencumbered path to integrated health care services to every low-income resident.

• PRIMARY HEALTH CARE: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
• FAMILY DENTAL CARE: Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
• BEHAVIORAL HEALTH: Mon-Wed-Thur, 8:00am to 8:30pm; Tue & Fri, 8:00am to 5:00pm
• DETOXIFICATION & MEDICATION ASSISTED TREATMENT (MAT): Behavioral Health Assessments available on a walk-in basis with 10:00am arrival recommended.
• WEEKEND MEDICAL SERVICES: 9:00am to 1:00pm on Select Saturdays
OUR HYBRID STAFFING MODEL
Access Carroll is an integrated health care organization that utilizes a hybrid staffing model including paid staff (employees), volunteer staff, and in-kind staff from Carroll Hospital and the Carroll County Health Department. In order to ensure patient care services and operations are intact, staff from all entities will follow an Access Carroll attendance and inclement weather policy.
Within Access Carroll, we share partnership space with both LabCorp and Genoa Pharmacy employees.
JOINT COMMISSION ACCREDITATION
Access Carroll voluntarily underwent a thorough evaluation by The Joint Commission. The goal of the evaluation was to determine if our facility met the Joint Commission’s rigorous performance standards in delivering quality, safe care. By meeting these standards, our facility received The Gold Seal of Approval® – an internationally recognized symbol of quality. The Joint Commission accredits and certifies more than 22,000 health care programs worldwide and focuses on continually improving health care by setting the highest standards for health care quality throughout the world. In setting the standards, The Joint Commission consults doctors, nurses, and quality and safety experts to review the current standards and make recommendations for improvements.
A CULTURE OF SAFETY AND QUALITY
Access Carroll strives to promote and maintain a Culture of Safety and Quality for our integrated health services. In addition to ongoing and regular Culture of Safety and Quality activities and incident reporting, Access Carroll leadership offers an opportunity for staff members to provide anonymous and blame-free feedback.
