Melissa Zahn, BSN, RN, serves as the Executive Director of Integrative Health Services at Carroll Hospital and as the Executive Director and CEO of Access Carroll, Inc.. With more than 30 years of healthcare experience – all rooted in Carroll County – she has dedicated her career to advancing health and wellness for the community she calls home.
Melissa began her career as a pharmacy technician and later worked as a chiropractic assistant and nursing assistant before graduating from nursing school. Over the past 27 years at Carroll Hospital, she has held multiple leadership roles and earned recognition for her innovation and impact. She led the creation of the Carroll Heart Failure Clinic, which reduced readmissions by over 35%, and spearheaded multiple programs, which achieved a reduction in the emergency department visits, and proper utilization of PCPs and urgent care.
Beyond her clinical leadership, Melissa is deeply committed to community collaboration. She works across agencies and sectors to strengthen access to care and ensure that all Carroll County residents have the resources they need to thrive. Her lifelong service reflects not only her professional expertise but also her personal dedication to building a healthier, stronger community.
